In this paper we analyze the main motivations that have pushed Galician companies, and in particular Wine Cellars and Vineyards, to implement the UNE 302001 Standard related to industrial tourism. First, we present a framework where the relevance of the quality is outlined nowadays and then we present the Q Brand as a standard on Tourism Quality in order to focus on the main reasons why companies d ecide to implement or certify their Quality Management System, and especially the ISO 9001 Standard. Once the methodology supporting the research is described, we present the results obtained from the descriptive analysis of the factors/motivations and, fi nally, the conclusions and the future research lines are listed.This work is part of a wider research at national level with the aim to develop a reference framework in the Industrial Tourism sector.
