ABSTRACT: For drug analysis, many spectroscopic techniques, including infrared, mass, NMR, and UV spectroscopy, as well as chromatographic techniques like ultra-performance liquid chromatography, thin-layer chromatography, high-pressure thin-layer chromatography, Gas Chromatography, and high-performance liquid chromatography, are available. This review article addresses the literature review for simultaneous measurement of Telmisartan and Amlodipine besylate in bulk and pharmaceutical formulations. According to the existing literature, several RP-HPLC (Reverse phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography) techniques were developed and validated in order to quantify the drug concentration in these multicomponent formulations. HPLC is one of the highly available instruments and most widely used methods in industries and research fields for the estimation of analytes with good sensitivity. On the other hand, it consumes huge volumes of organic solvents, which might be toxic and costly there by effecting environment and also increasing the cost of analysis. So, the present study aims to assess the overall potential of HPLC-based analytical methods for simultaneous estimation of selected drugs using multicriteria approach. The RGB model is one of the most widely used multicriteria approaches and is designed based on the White Analytical Chemistry (WAC) concept. It considers the often-overlooked characteristics that can improve the quality and utility of analytical procedures compared to green metrics like AGREE, GAPI, Ecoscale, etc. Several criteria, such as USP plate count, accuracy, precision, toxicity, solvent consumption, time, and cost of analysis, were considered for evaluation. The RGB evaluation of the reported methods was done by algorithmic tools. It goes into detail on many stages involved in the development of the RP-HPLC method. Based on the requirements for the research, this study is useful in helping to choose an appropriate analytical approach. In an effort to shed light on the evaluation process, this study provides a glimpse into the future of such potential.
