Pia Koivunens monografi Performing Peace and Friendship: The World Youth Festivals and Soviet Cultural Diplomacy analyserer og diskuterer rekka av internasjonale ungdomsfestivalar i sosialistiske land i perioden 1947–1957, med særleg vekt på festivalen i Moskva i 1957. Pia Koivunen’s monograph Performing Peace and Friendship: The World Youth Festivals and Soviet Cultural Diplomacy analyses and discusses the series of international youth festivals in socialist countries in the years 1947–1957, with a particular focus on the Moscow festival of 1957.
