SITUS-SITUS ARKEOLOGI DI KAWASAN TAMAN NASIONAL BOGANI NANI WARTABONE: ANALISIS KERUSAKAN DAN UPAYA PENANGGULANGANNYA
Abstract
Potential archaeological remains were found at Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park. This Paper was aimed to describing the data found at the park, reviewing their recent condition, and looking for the causes of the damage, its prevention and protection effort that can be done. The research method was descriptive. The data was collected through survey, library research, and excavation methods. Meanwhile, the data was analyzed by searching the factors that caused damage to the site, and search for prevention efforts so that the damage could be reduced. The Bogani Nani Wartanobe consist of stone burial and ancient settlements. The stone burial were found in four locations, which are Binuanga, Luod, Batu Tumpa, and Kosenggolan. The settlement site location was in Mansiri site and Luod site. The findings from the ancient settlement consist of the remains of ancient human bones, teeth, and pottery fragments. In addition, the findings from ancient settlement included fragments of both carved and non-carved pottery as well as stone tools. However, the archaeological sites a TNBNW were damaged in account of natural and human factors. As the site location was very steep, the site was prone to having a land slides and wild plants growth which potentially could damage the remains. Humans were another threatening party as they might damage the sites by illegal logging and exploring land for making plantation. Preservation effort could be done by socialization, good communication and community involvement in archaeological research activities.
