Overview of regulatory requirements and methods for surface wastewater treatment

Abstract

The article compares regulatory requirements for surface water treatment (SW) in the United States and the Russian Federation. The SW purification methods used in the countries mentioned above are described. It is concluded that it is necessary to amend the primary regulatory documents of the Russian Federation to enable the use of cleaning technologies used in the U.S.
