Liants anhydres de répandage ou d’enrobage : la route se met au vert
Abstract
Since 1996, Appia has developped a new generation of fluxes for bitumen. Vegetable Oil Methyl Ester were chosen because of their ability to thin these binders. They were used instead of petroleum or carbochemical derivatives to avoid the emission of fumes and VOC and to work below the flash point of the resulting binder. Today, thousand tons of VOME are used each year in applications that go from surface dressing to asphalt mixes or to recycling technologies. A joint venture between Diester Industrie and Appia has been created to sell the technology to any interested customer
