Aim: This study systematically reviewed studies published in the national literature to examine factors influencing nurses' attitudes toward patient safety. Method: This study was a systematic review. The databases Google Scholar, Dergi Park Akademik, Ulakbim, EBSCO Host, and National Thesis Center were searched using the terms 'nurse,' 'patient safety,' and 'patient safety attitude'. Results: Eleven articles that met the criteria for inclusion were examined. All of the publications analyzed in the study were found to be descriptive, 72.7% were master's theses, 45.5% were published in 2019, and sample sizes ranged from 28 to 380. In a significant portion of studies, the average score for patient safety attitude has been found to be moderate. In the study's literature review, it was determined that nurses' attitudes toward patient safety vary according to sociodemographic variables such as age, gender, marital status, and level of education. In addition, it was discovered that the patient safety attitude varies based on characteristics related to the working environment, such as the working year, the unit worked, shifts worked, weekly working hours, use of the security reporting system, and management support for error reporting. Conclusion: The research findings revealed the importance of generating information and developing nursing practices based on scientific evidence regarding patient safety.
