Strategic planning is an important part of development process in the private sector as well as in the public sector. Town, cities and regions create their strategic development documents to focus the aim “during analysis and particular steps to come towards changes to better future” (Berman, 1998). Alongside our environment changes continually and creates new requirements to us. One very frequent and important theme which is more and more discussed on the local level are problems connected with clime change and its impacts to towns and cities and also the question how to adapt towns and cities for new situation. The adaptation to clime change is an indiscernible part of strategic development plans. Till now no one was interested in the question, if and how react the strategic aims and objectives based in strategic development plans to threats whose are based on clime change. The aim of the paper is to make a risk analysis of the selected municipal strategic development plan from the threats connected with clime change point of view. The method “What If…” was selected for the analysis.
