Froid hivernal et fréquence de la grippe à Sfax (Centre-Est de la Tunisie)

Abstract

Winter upsurge of influenza morbidity is a major topic of concern in the field of Public Health. Several studies have focused on the supporting role of the winter cold at this time of the epidemic season. In Sfax, morbidity is variable within the winter season. The frequency of cold episodes influences the ILI consultation recorded by the Centers of Basic Health. The morbidity associated with these cold sequences was determined by comparison with ordinary cold situations. Some frequent atmospheric conditions in winter associated with anticyclonic weather types establish this intense cold and therefore enhances the virulence of the viral pathogen that affects all age groups in the population.
