Pré-natal: a visão das gestantes e puérperas usuárias do serviço de saúde pública
Abstract
Objective: This study aims to know the vision of pregnant women and puerperal users of the public health service of Rio Verde on prenatal care. Method: This is a cross-sectional, qualitative and quantitative study of pregnant women attended at a maternity hospital in the city of Rio Verde-GO from October 2015 to March 2016. A questionnaire prepared by the author was used to collect data. Results: 88 women were interviewed, with a mean age of 25.38± 6.11 years. The prenatal coverage in the sample was high 92 (97.88%), with a mean number of visits of 6.5± 2.45) and average gestational age at the start of follow-up of 10.36± 6.22 weeks. Few pregnancies were planned 32 (34.09%), and a high number of women 6 (6.81%) did not have family support for prenatal care, however, these variables did not reduce prenatal adherence or the number of inquiries made. Of these, 26 (29.54%) reported difficulties in performing prenatal care, the main one being transportation. The diseases with the highest index of diagnosis were urinary tract infection and anemia. Conclusion: The percentage of pregnant women who have adhered to prenatal care has increased, although there is still a lack of knowledge about what is monitoring and what are their objectives. It is noticed that, with prenatal care, many diseases can be diagnosed and treated by minimizing health problems in the mother-child binomial.
