Comparative study on teacher training in supranational perspective: the cases of Germany, France, Italy and Spain
Abstract
Teacher education, as a key topic to obtain quality education systems, has been internationally studied. This article analyzes, based on national and European documents, the current teacher training systems for infant and primary schools in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The underlying trends to European systems have been detected by the comparative method. In light of the obtained data, the final consideration epigraph will be developed, including some proposals in relation to programs flexibility, qualifications, curriculum design and teaching practices.
