This article presents considerations about the functioning of the Semi-liberty socio-educational measure, as part of a structured proposition based on national guidelines, in view of problematizations about Michel Foucault’s disciplinary power and Gilles Deleuze’s control society. The semi-liberty measure consists in an adolescent’s staying in a house for a period from six months to three years, under a professional team’s orientation and supervision. The discussions demonstrate that the strategies undertaken for the measure execution present a conception of public policy aligned with new conceptions and values in the control society, taking into account the disciplinary society practices. The practices, established in Semi-liberty, work like a laboratory by introducing adolescents to democratic flows, configuring a sort of social juggling.
