Possibilities of «New» Macrolides in the Treatment of Bacterial Respiratory Diseases

Abstract

The article deals with the mechanisms of action, indications for use and analysis of the effectiveness of macrolides use, in particular azithromycin, in diseases of the respiratory system. We considered the features of their effects on intracellular and extracellular bacterial flora, as well as their anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and mucoregulating properties.
