Environmental culture in the curriculum of the discipline Informatics and Research
Abstract
Environmental education, as a general educational process, has a systemic, dynamic and participatory character. The information and communications technologies can be used as a contribution to mitigate the progressive deterioration of the environment and must be directed to the formation of a critical and reflexive environmental culture from a social context. A bibliographic review on the topic was carried out in order to systematize the foundations of the curricular strategy to develop an environmental culture in medical education, in the discipline Informatics and Research, and to contribute to its implementation in medical sciences, taking into consideration its challenges and the way the teaching processes are progressing toward climate change. The study has determined that the practical insertion of the aforementioned curricular strategy should promote a harmonic relationship between man and technologies in order to foster high-quality lifestyles in present and future generations.
