SURFACE TENSION OF A CYLINDRICAL SURFACE

Abstract

Analytical expressions for the size dependence of a surface tension are received in the framework of two various approaches (Gibbs theory and Van-der-Waals theory of an inhomogeneous medium) for cylindrical surface. It is shown, that the both approaches lead to a very close results. The coefficient of proportionality in A.I.Rusanov's formula for a cylindrical surface is defined.
