Behavioral Disorders with Antisocial Personality and the Consequences of Incorrect Diagnosis
Abstract
Introduction: The aim of the article was to present the problem of behavioral disorders and antisocial personality. Attention is paid to the indicators of behavioral disorders and the consequences of incorrect diagnosis. Lack of appropriate therapy may result in the development of an antisocial (dissociative) personality. Research Aim: The aim of the research was to show the relationship between behavioral disorders and antisocial personality. It was pointed out that the first symptoms of behavioral disorders can already be observed in young children (even at the age of 3-4). Evidence-based Facts: Permanent occurrence and intensification of antisocial behavior lead to behavioral disorders. The lack of an appropriate diagnosis and effective specialist intervention results in the development of antisocial personality. Summary: Children / adolescents who present abnormal behavior should be properly diagnosed. Medical, psychological and pedagogical help is necessary in order to reduce antisocial behavior that can lead to the development of antisocial personality.
