The present text aims at pointing out a brief and introductory philosophical and sociological interpretation on the History of Education from ancient times to the present day. In effect, delineating a critical look at the reality of the idea of education in the world. For this, it requires attention to the historical contexts evoked in the epochs exposed throughout the analysis. Nevertheless, relying on the work of Mario AlighieroManacorda as the main author on the history of education, meanwhile, emphasizing the notion of education according to Durkheim.
