Conservation of palm (Arecaceae Bercht. & J. Presl) biodiversity in the collection of greenhouse plants of the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus

Abstract

Botanical gardens play an important role in the world plant biological diversity conservation. Now, the collection of the Arecaceae family of the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus consists of 27 genera, 40 species, 2 varieties and 1 hybrid, including rare and endangered endemic species (43 %).
