The topic of this paper focuses on a chance discovery made in 1973 on the eastern bank of Lake Histria, along the edge of the tumular necropolis. The discovery consisted of a bronze cheekpiece of Scythian horsetrappings in the shape of a deer head. A dating in the second half of the 4th century BC is put forward
