ÖMER FUÂDÎ’NİN DEVRAN HAKKINDAKİ GÖRÜŞLERİ VE DEVRAN RİSALESİ
Abstract
Sufism has been included in the fields called Sufi literature, tekke literature, Religious-Sufi Turkish Literature and Sufi folk literature with its unique system of thought and its accumulations and works revealed by this system. Tekke and sects, which are the places where Sufi thought is institutionalized, show their vitality and influence in social life from centuries ago to the present. The so-called forms of worship and ritual, such as dhikr, sema and devran, performed by dervishes of Tekke and sect alone or collectively, are among the main points of Sufi thought. The subject of “devran”, which means “to return” as the word and is known as the situation of the disciple or Sufis to chant and return in a discretionary, ecstatic state alone or collectively, has been an area of discussion, especially in Ottoman thought life, in which lengthy evaluations are made in favor or against, and works written. Religious scholars (Madrasah Ulama) approached the subject with the dimensions of impermissibility and permissibility, while Sufi people came up with ideas in favor and penned various works. Thus, the issue of devran has created a wide area of interest in our social life from the moment of the debates. In this study, the opinions of Omar Fuadi (1559-1639), one of the caliphs of the Shabaniyye sect, one of the important branches of Halvetiyyah, on “Devran Risalesi” and “Devran”, along with the subjects of Sufi music, sema and dhikr, evaluated by considering the aspect of Turkish Sufi literature as well.
