In order to get good properties of nickel-plated aluminum powder, the nickel-plated aluminum powder was prepared by displacement reaction on the surface of the aluminum powder. The morphology and composition of the nickel-plated aluminum powder was characterized by scanning electron microscope, energy dispersion spectrometer and X-ray diffraction spectrometer. The apparent density, the tap density and pressure of the nickel-plated aluminum powder were tested by an apparent density tester, a tap density tester and a DC resistance tester. The results showed that when the single displacement temperature was 70 ℃ and the concentration of nickel salt and reductant was 60 g/L, the nickel-plated aluminum powder was coated completely and closely. The nickel content of the nickel-plated aluminum powder was 75.23%, the apparent density and tap density were 2.179 g/cm3 and 2.547 g/cm3, respectively. The compaction resistivity could reach 10.6 mΩ·cm.
