Chibchas, Muiscas o Guanes: algo más sobre la cuestión lingüística

Abstract

This article reflects on the discussion in recent years on the linguistic differentiation that appears in the chronicles of the Spanish conquest of the groups that have been termed as the "Chibcha nation,"a bit diffuse conceptualization in case of the indigenous communities who settledin the present territory of the Northeast Colombian, which referenced Fray Pedro Simón, Juan de Castellanos and Lucas Fernández de Piedrahita, among others, as the most important narrators who described what we have called in this article as the Guanes inspiration
