Purpose. The purpose of this work is to identify the derivational potential of nouns and individual elements of the word-formation system in the Even language. Methodology. The research uses the descriptive-methodological method and perspective word-formation analysis. Results. When considering the derivational capabilities of individual elements of the word-forming system (word-forming means, word-forming method) and types of the Even language, it is the derivational potential of the language under study that is revealed, the noun, in particular. The word-forming means and method of word formation are connected with the derivational potential of the word, that is, with the ability of the word to generate derivatives, new lexemes. From this position, the number of derived words that arose from the producer and their qualitative characteristics were studied, which led to the conclusion that nouns in the Even language have the greatest word-forming potential after the verb. Practical implications. The results of the work can be used in the compilation of a word-formation dictionary of the Even language, in studying and teaching the Even language.
