A maglie composte
Abstract
The intervention, designed by the Italian firm Architecture/Urbanism Service of Roberto Pasini and Andrea Ranieri, consists of an innovative composting plant immersed in the green Apennine valley of Rio Busca. The anaerobic fermentation process recycles the organic waste into compost, natural fertilizer for agricultural and gardening purposes, and uses the residual biogas for the production of electricity meeting 10% of the residential needs of the city of Cesena.
