Importuri de terra sigillata italică în spaţiul vest-pontic
Abstract
The presence of Italic artifacts in the West Pontic region has been widely addressed in Romanian archaeological literature. This paper focuses on the presence of terra sigillata produced in Italic workshops and found in Roman (and pre-Roman) settlements at the mouth of the Danube. We catalogued four distinct categories of vessels, datable to the 1st century AD, possibly related to the expansion of the Roman Empire in the Pontic region.
