Des « grands » et des « petits » domini ? « Grandes » et « petites » villae en Gaule Aquitaine. Le cas de la cité des Arvernes

Abstract

This paper focusses on the "high" and "low" definitions of the villa. All the examples studied concentrate on the Arverns' territory. The data comes from recent excavations and aerial prospecting, as well as from field walking. The paper pays particular attention to the transition between sites interpreted as villae and sites interpreted as farms.
