Historia de los amores de Clareo y Florisea, y de los trabajos de la sin ventura Isea, natural de Éfeso by Alonso Núñez de Reinoso, appeared in Venice edited by the Giolito brothers in 1552, and shortly afterwards it was published translated to Portuguese. The stay of its author on Portugal, the strong influence exerted on him by some Portuguese poets (especially Bernardim Riberio) and the unusual translation to Portuguese of his novel, show us some quite unknown relationships between the Spanish and Portuguese literature and away from the usual view of them. It also leads us to a different environment of creation, printing and dissemination of peninsular literature.
