Abstract

This paper explores gender, sexuality, and culture through the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show from 1975. With a focus on literature review, it seeks to highlight its role in cultural discussions about gender and sexuality, as well as the changes in the 2016 remake. It concludes that it is a seductive and provocative work that, by parodying and satirizing various elements of culture, invites an examination of one's own conceptions, prejudices, and taboos.
