The article discusses the convergence of education and business on the example of training bachelors and masters in the direction «Technology ofproducts and organization of catering::. The implementation of this approach is carried out using its own educational standards, developed taking into account the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard in this direction and Professional Standards. This is reflected in the structure of the Educational Program, the choice of disciplines, as well as in the subject of final qualification works for students of the Graduate School of Biotechnology and Food Science of the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, a number of which are presented in this article.
