NATIONAL-CULTURAL SPECIFICITY OF THE DARGWA LANGUAGE CURSES

Abstract

The article presents a lexical-semantic analysis of the curses of the Dargwa language. The subject of analysis is the national-cultural specificity and functional features of these expressive set collocations. The purpose of the research is a comprehensive study of the expressive means of the Dargwa language in both linguistic and linguocultural aspects. Methodology. The authors use scientific methods of linguistics such as data collection and analysis of oral and written texts, the descriptive method including techniques of observation, comparison, interpretation and classification of the test material, method of component analysis, aimed to identify characteristics of the Dargwa curses. Results. Having found religious terminology, kinship terms and somatonyms as the main lexical-semantic groups of the curses of the Dargwa language, the authors explain that such distribution is connected to the national peculiarities of reality perception by the speakers of the Dargwa language, their mindset and mentality. Practical implications. The results of the study of lexical-semantic features of the Dargwa curses can be used to study the lexical structure of the Dargwa language.
