In order to explore the effect of shot peening(SP)process parameters on the residual stress distribution of the material, the shot peening finite element model(FEM)was established base on the characteristics of the aluminum alloy material and the experimental conditions by ANSYS/LS-DYNA, in which the 7075-T651 aluminum alloy material was taken as a sample. The distribution of residual stress under different jet distances, jet pressures and projectile diameters was obtained by the FEM model. Results showed that increasing the jet pressure and projectile diameters could significantly increase the maximum residual compressive stress and the influence depth of residual compressive stress, and the jet distance should be kept within an appropriate range. Finally, the calculated stress value was compared with the experimental stress value, the maximum deviation was(10.0±12.5)MPa, and the deviation rate did not exceed 6.9%.Therefore, the work indicated that the distribution of residual stress could be accurately obtained through the FEM, which was helpful for the study of the influence of shot peening process parameters on the distribution law of residual stress.
