Abstract
The article showcases good practices supporting professional activity of people with Down’s syndrome, who take an active part in the various ventures undertaken as part of the Przystanek Szekspir and Szekspir na Start projects, carried out in the Tri-City. The presented activities, based on the powerful concept and belief in equality, are aimed at including people excluded from the privileged groups into the beneficial labour market. In order to reconstruct the activities, relations and meanings of the work experience manifested in the space of the projects, the author carried out a research project using the ethnographic method as its methodological framework. The study material was collected by means of observations, in-depth interviews, ethnographic interviews and field notes. In the paper, the author offers answers to the following questions regarding a number of issues: How are the presented professional activity projects carried out? What happens within these projects? What meanings do employees with Down’s syndrome assign to their work experience? How is these employees’ work perceived by their colleagues, viewers, job coaches and employers?
