Application Research on Group-string MPPT of Photovoltaic Module under Partial Occlusion

Abstract

Taking BP4170 as a research object, a mathematical model was built in Matlab to analyze the output characteristic of PV array under occlusion and perform an evaluation and a comparison on the output power of centralized MPPT (maximum power point tracking) and string MPPT. The application scope of string MPPT technology was proved through statistical calculation and analysis, which provides a theoretical basis for the design of photovoltaic power generation system.
