Situated in the village of Nova Esperança, Ka’agyu Porã, located in Aracruz/ES, this article presents an ethnography that explores what it means to "take seriously" the Guarani bonds of alterity, particularly in the context of the txondaro dances, which involve dancers with birds and other-than-human entities. Ibegin by detailing the start of the field research, initial inquiries, and interactions with the youth. Thus, I provide an ethnographic narrative that interconnects the aforementioned themes, discussing how in the txondaro dance, the Guarani approach birds.
