KOLONIALISTISHE KONZEPTE IN DER NOVELLE “DAS INSELMӒDCHEN” VON ROBERT MÜLLER

Abstract

As a colonial novella, "The Island Girl" by Robert Mueller contains many colonial concepts. Among these colonial concepts, sexuality is the focus of this amendment. Colonial discourse is given by a relationship between the colonial officials and local women. The Sexualitӓt is another face or a different view of colonialism. Actually, the relationship is a symbol of this colonial process. From this relationship a colonial analysis is made. This novella is one of the most important works in the colonial literature. Cultural diversity, race, conditions and both material and mental values are considered in the amendment. In the process of colonization, the experiences of the dark nation against the white nation (s) are drawn and examined in detail.
