“Elusive” Narration in the Novel of Dmitry A. Pirogov “Renat and the Dragon”
Abstract
The article dwells on originality of Dmitry A. Pirogov’s novel “Renat and the Dragon” with a special attention paid to the research of narrate characterized by fragmentariness, incompleteness and flickering ambiguity. The author singles out main devices of elusive narration: change of author’s identities, introduction of unreliable narrator, variability and switching to hero’s viewpoint. The author comes to the conclusion that the main principles of the novel are metaliterary character as a distinctive feature of conceptual poetics and activation of reader’s co-creation.
