Investigation of anti-toxoplasma gondii antibodies in cats using sabin-feldman dye test in elazığ

Abstract

This study was carried out in cats in Elazığ. A total of 36 eats were examined for the presence of anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies using Sabin-Feldman dye test (SF). Anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies were detected in 20 (55.5%) of the cats. Titers of 1/16, 1/64 were found in 9 (45%) and 11 (55%) of the seropozitive cats respectively, Toxoplasma gondii oocyst was not found in the faeces examination.
