O PROCESSO DE ORGANIZAÇÃO DOS SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE NO MARANHÃO: passos iniciais

Abstract

Configuration of the governmental action in the field of the health. The government of Paulo Ramos (1936-1945) as illustrative is looked to unmask the format of the initial measures taken in the governmental context to answer to the demands configured in this field . It is the historical period that corresponds in Maranhão to the effort of institutionalization of a new administrative structure as to the developed public policy in the health area. Its hygienist matrix objectified to take care of, at the same time, the health of the citizen and the urban space to drain it, having as reference the norms and regulations drawn for the central power.
