Overview of bus stops positioning methods

Abstract

In this paper standard methods for determining of bus stops along route have been analyzed. The analysis is focused on the lines of bus transport where the bus system appears as an independent system and not as a subsystem for LRT or metro line supplying. Some of alternative models for defining of bus stops and optimization of public transport systems also were analyzed. Furthermore, method for quantitatively defining territories of railway station was also analyzed like potentially applicable to bus public transport system.
