La violence de la dictature brésilienne revisitée : les contributions de l’installation « Salle obscure de torture » à une esthétique de la mémoire dans l’art contemporain
Abstract
The installation « Dark Room of Torture », created in 1972 by a group of Latin American artists exiled in France, holds artistic value that remains relatively unexplored in art criticism. Analyzing this work allows for broader studies of the connections between art, militancy, and trauma. Furthermore, the plastic and aesthetic strategies used to address the violence of Latin American dictatorships offer important insights into the art of memory in Brazil.
