Impact of HVDC transmission capacity on multi-send HVDC system voltage stability

Abstract

The massive construction of high voltage direct current (HVDC) makes the AC/DC interactions very complicated, which seriously affects transient voltage stability. To quantify the impact of the transmission capacity on transient voltage stability, a transient voltage stability analysis method suitable for the multi-send HVDC systems is proposed. Case studies are performed under different transmission capacity, and the corresponding security/stability indices are calculated.
