Traditional Ukrainian Clothing. XVIII — Early ХХ Centuries

Abstract

The main principles, genesis and bases features of region complexes Ukrainian traditional male and female clothing are studied in the paper. Special attention is given to decorative features of removable and non-removable personal adornments in the complex of folk costume as well as artistic ways of organizing clothing in integral ensemble structure. Subject matter also related to the most important functions of the clothing in Ukrainian traditional domestic life and ritual culture.
