The article is devoted to selected problems related to the performance of the activities of a court-appointed physician. Without a doubt legal regulations currently in force must be subjected to selective “legal correction” as the Court-Appointed Physician Act – passed more than 12 years ago – “in its present form” is one of the causes of the “disability” of the Polish system of justice. The Authors of the publication formulated both de lege lata and de lege ferenda postulates in this area, considering, among others the information obtained from the presidents of regional courts in Poland.
