INTIMIDADES EN RED: EXHIBICIÓN Y VIGILANCIA EN KENTUKIS DE SAMANTA SCHWEBLIN

Abstract

En la literatura latinoamericana del siglo xxi se ha explorado la relación entre la tecnología y la intimidad, y se han planteado los dilemas legales, políticos y afectivos en relación con la libertad de los sujetos, el control de su intimidad y los sistemas que los vigilan. En Kentukis se plantea la imagen de la conexión global por medio de una red de intimidades en las que los sujetos observan y son observados. Sobre la base de estas conexiones, sostengo que la exhibición de la intimidad permite considerarla un fenómeno colectivo e insertarla en la discusión sobre los derechos ciudadanos. Many authors have explored the relationship between technology and intimacy in 21st Latin American literature, and have pointed out legal, political, and affective dilemmas in relation to the freedom of subjects, the control of their intimacy, and the systems that monitor them. Kentukis poses the image of global connection through a network of intimacies in which the subjects observe and are observed. On the basis of these global connections, I propose that the exhibition of intimacy allows us to consider it as a collective phenomenon and insert it in the discussion on civil rights.
