Abstract

Interview with the PHD Eloísa Acires Candal Rocha, professor in the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Center of Science Education and researcher in the area of Infantile Education with an extensive experience in teacher training. The interview discusses the new 9 years of duration of the elementary school in Brazil. She tries to understand the reasons which lead the emergence of this new law and what its current implications.
