During the Fifties, United States court prosecuted for conspiracy Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. This trial became one of the most famous judicial case of the century, which went quite beyond the courtrooms. This work does not aim at providing a further verdict of guilty or innocence; instead, it tries to reconstruct a story still intriguing nowdays. The interest for this trial derives mostly from the protagonists and from their inflexible choice of resistance. We analyze the reasons why it caused so much sensation going through the different stages of the trial, its further upheavals, the prosecution and defense’s pleadings and the influence exerted by the different forces involved.
