Cross cultural psychology is a part of psychology that deals with the behavior of individuals or a group of people in relation with their local cultural characteristic. Their local characteristics, one, of course, not the same in nature as the west's culture. Indonesia, with its cultures diversity, poses some problems in dental health education therefore, a good strategy in dealing with the problems is needed. With the use of cross-cultural psychology in dental health education, it is expected that the problems arising from the perceptions, values, and norms of local culture could be overcome. It is hoped that with the use of this educaiton pattern, the local people will develop a good attitude toward dental and oral health care.
