Analysis of the labor market in the construction sector of Tolima and Cundinamarca

Abstract

This article presents a regional photograph of Tolima and Cundinamarca, in the construction sector, identifying the main occupational areas that this sector offers, through the formality and informality required by the companies that are present in these departments. In this way, it seeks to contribute to establishing human resource needs for this sector, diagnosed by different national and regional studies, which must be approached and intervened by the different actors from all social sectors, which provide solutions to this problem. This study aims to analyze the construction sector and propose a series of articulations between the labor demand, the less favored sector (Vulnerable Population) in the labor market and the educational offer of the region; taking as inputs the regional context and local and national public policies.
