The results of clinical and experimental study of the mechanisms underlying the antihypoxic effect of Acyzol are considered. Its effect on the acid-base balance of the blood and oxygen-transport properties of hemoglobin in patients with intoxication with hematotoxic poisons and hemic hypoxia are investigated. Its pharmacokinetic and physical effects on the heme and globin parts of hemoglobin of red blood cells had been studied. The conclusions about the mechanisms of antihypoxic action of Acyzol and prognosis regarding potentially effective its use in the treatment of somatic diseases and abnormalities were made.
