Aiming at the problems of poor real-time performance and imperfect functions of monitoring system for box-type substation, an intelligent and remote monitoring system of box-type substation based on ARM and DSP is designed. The hardware block diagram and the working principle diagram of the system are given, and the modules such as analog acquisition and switch input/output are designed. On the basis of the flow diagrams including main program, the analog quantity, the switch quantity and the GPRS communication, the intelligent and remote box-type substation monitoring software is developed, which realizes the real-time monitoring of environment, electrical and switching parameters and other functions, such as data query, fault early warning, and energy efficiency analysis. The experimental results show that the system has the characteristics of real-time, multi-function and high stability, which is of great significance for implementing defensive maintenance, improving power supply quality, saving energy and reducing consumption.
